Research Psychologist

Your goal : Revolutionize psychometric and build the next-gen talent identification tools.Your mission : Combine scientific accuracy and modernity in order to create cutting edge ways to assess behavioral features like personality, motivation and intelligence (psychometric and gamified assessments, digital footprints, social media analytics, etc.).To do this, you will have to:

Reinforce our existing questionnaires:

  • Improve the psychometric properties of our questionnaires in the different languages offered by AssessFirst (15 languages);
  • Conduct statistical analysis in order to ensure and prove the validity and reliability of our questionnaires;
  • Ensure that the psychometric properties of our questionnaires meet the international standards set by the A.P.A. and the I.T.C;
  • Keep our psychometric manual up-do-date, and complement it with empirical studies;

Define the new frontiers of talent evaluation :

  • Keep actively alert on advances in scientific research or other useful sources to identify emerging trends in talent evaluation and the measure of human behavior (gamification, web scraping, crowdsourced evaluation, etc.);
  • Propose, design and develop new talent evaluation tools;
  • Work together with behavioral scientists and machine learning specialists in order to predict human potential and performance, and develop an AI-based solution;
  • Contribute, with the whole team, in the delivery of data-driven insights, analysis and functionalities that nobody thought about, but that will help our clients make better HR decisions;

Spread our science to the world :

  • Conduct scientific research on HR related topics based on our data;
  • Publish papers in journals with high impact factors;
  • Participate to conferences;
  • Work with the team to strengthen our partnerships with top universities.

Your future team

You will be part of the Science team, composed of Emeric (Head of Science – Manager), Vincent (Psychometrician) and Simon (Chief Product Officer). You will also work extremely closely with the whole product team.

What we would need…

  • PhD in Psychology or a related field is preferred (Psychometrics, I/O Psychology, Social Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Quantitative Research, Computational Science, etc.).
  • Fluent in English GB
  • A big love for innovation, psychometric and statistics
  • Proficiency in R (Python is a plus)
  • Knowledge in CAT (Computerized Adaptive Testing)
  • Knowledge in IRT (Item Response Theory)
